Chris has welcomed new investment in Youth Hubs serving both the Stirling and Perth & Kinross council areas, providing greater support for young people looking to access work, education and training opportunities.

The investment forms part of a wider UK Government programme to expand Youth Hubs across Great Britain, helping young people develop skills, connect with employers and access tailored support in their local communities.

The new Perth & Kinross Youth Hub will benefit communities across Strathallan, bringing together a range of services under one roof. Youth Hubs are designed to offer practical support with finding employment, accessing training opportunities, building skills and improving wellbeing.

Chris said:

“I warmly welcome this investment in new Youth Hubs for both the Stirling and Perth & Kinross council areas, which will benefit young people right across Stirling and Strathallan.

“I’ve consistently raised the importance of ensuring opportunities are accessible locally, so it’s encouraging to see this funding come forward.”

He added:

“Youth Hubs have the potential to make a real difference, bringing together employment support, skills training, mental health services and employer connections under one roof.

“I’ll be working closely with local partners, both Councils and the DWP to ensure we make the most of this opportunity and secure a strong, accessible hub that truly meets the needs of young people across Stirling & Strathallan.”

The hubs are intended to provide a single point of access for young people seeking support, helping them navigate routes into employment, apprenticeships, further education and skills development. They will also strengthen links between young people, employers and local services.

Chris said he looks forward to working with partners to ensure young people across Stirling and Strathallan can benefit fully from the new opportunities the investment will create.
