It’s now been a full year since I was elected as your Member of Parliament for Stirling & Strathallan, and it remains the honour of my life to represent our communities.
Over the last 12 months, I’ve worked to stand up for you, both in Westminster and across the constituency, and I want to share some of what we’ve achieved together.
Around the Constituency
From day one, I’ve made it a priority to be visible, approachable, and active in every part of our constituency.
My office in the heart of Stirling City Centre continues to handle your emails, calls, and letters every day, offering help, support, and a listening ear.
But with a constituency roughly the size of Luxembourg, I know that not everyone can come to me. That’s why I’ve travelled the length and breadth of Stirling & Strathallan, holding street surgeries, hosting coffee mornings, visiting community groups, and attending local events, to meet you where you are and hear directly what matters most.

In Parliament
In Westminster, I’ve been focused on delivering for you, raising local issues, influencing national policy, and scrutinising government decisions.
When Auchterarder Library was at risk of closure, I stood up for the vital role our local libraries play. I raised the broadband voucher problems affecting Balquhidder with government ministers, and I’ve highlighted the work of local volunteers during Parkinson’s Awareness Month.
Nationally, I’ve spoken up for investment in youth services, greater support for local government, and better social mobility in later life. I’ve pushed the Government to do more to attract international students and raised concerns about how taxpayers’ money is spent through my role on the Public Accounts Committee.

In Government
As a Labour MP, I’ve helped pass vital legislation to improve life for working people.
That includes the new Employment Rights Bill, a once-in-a-generation upgrade to workers’ rights, and legislation to establish Great British Energy, our publicly owned clean energy company that will drive investment into net-zero projects and secure our future energy supply.
